Dogs may not be left in cars. The festival parking lots are not shaded, and inappropriate for leaving pets within vehicles – they may suffer heat-stroke or worse. When attendees see a dog in a car, they alert organizers who then need to spend a lot of time looking for the owner and this is a big hassle.
Although we love animals, there are many children and farm animals (some afraid of dogs) at the festival, and it all gets chaotic with dogs, and people dump their poop in the compost too, yuk.
Service Dogs are of course most welcome in all areas of the festival, and in accordance with ADA policy.
Thank you for understanding.
